Sunny Hills Cake Shop at Minami Aoyama

Just a short distance from the vibrant Tokyo district of Omotesando, renowned for its designer boutiques, stands a wooden structure shaped like a bamboo basket. Situated among residential buildings in a densely populated area, it seamlessly integrates into the urban landscape, evoking a sense of a forest and warmth.
This building was created for the Taiwanese confectionery brand Sunny Hills, known for its pineapple cakes. Inside, visitors can find a café, inviting them to come in and relax.

The construction utilizes the traditional Japanese technique known as "jigoku-gumi" (地獄組), which allows wooden beams to be joined without glue or nails.
