For over 10 years, I’ve been passionately studying Japan. My love for this country began during my time at Lomonosov Moscow State University, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Oriental Studies from the Institute of Asian and African Studies, specializing in Japan’s economic and urban development. My focus was on the Japanese language.
My deep interest in Japanese architecture grew while I lived in Tokyo and conducted research at Hitotsubashi University
(一橋大学). Thanks to a grant from Japan’s Ministry of Education, I was able to further explore urban studies and even publish a research paper in Japanese.
While exploring Tokyo and other cities, I frequently discovered unique buildings hidden in urban alleyways. These discoveries inspired me to create the Japan Arch project — the only Russian-language blog on Telegram entirely dedicated to Japanese architecture.
This website is the next step in that architectural journey, and I hope it helps you explore the diverse and fascinating urban landscape of Japan!

While exploring Tokyo and other cities, I constantly stumbled upon unique buildings hidden in urban alleyways. These discoveries inspired me to create the Japan Arch project — the only Russian-language blog on Telegram entirely dedicated to Japanese architecture.
This website is a continuation of that architectural journey.
I hope it opens up the diverse and fascinating urban landscape of Japan for you!
